God's glory and majesty of the mountains is something I have never gotten over since I first moved to the SOUTH from Michigan almost 13 years ago. There is just something about driving through the winding roads upwards to be greeted finally by a view that takes your breath away. The great Smokey Mountains stretched out with range upon range of blues, greens and white is enough to make anyone cry on a normal day. However, to have them as your backdrop for your wedding is something too romantic for words.
If I could sum this wedding up in a description, it would be nature in loving harmony. From the fern, white rose and lime green decorations, to the wedding cake displayed on a lacquered slice of native wood, every aspect echoed a gorgeous harmony with love and nature.
Relatives and cherrished friends travelled from far and wide to a little chapel in the woods north of Cashiers, NC--some driving over three hours just to be with them on their special day. Not even threatening-severe thunderstorms and freak downpours could spoil this most perfect of all days.
